Helping The Needy

"When He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion..", Matthew9:36.

At Light of the World we have committed manpower and resources to several outstanding ministries that are reaching the poor and hurting of our region and the world:

      • Alpha Pregnancy Care Center (crisis pregnancy)
      • Capital City Rescue Mission (needy Men in Albany)
      • Hearts of the Father Outreach (orphans and troubled teens)
      • Jezreel International (food, clothing, medical relief)

We also cooperate with Love INC (In the Name of Christ) to help link resources with needs across the region. Light of the World runs a small Food Cupboard where anyone is welcome to take what they need at any time. At Thanksgiving and Christmas, the Food Cupboard serves many needy families with gifts, food baskets, and the love of Jesus. We also REACH out to the families of prisoners at Christmas through Project Angel Tree, a ministry of Prison Fellowship. <
