There is one God: He is the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Bible is the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God. Jesus Christ, being fully God, became fully human, was bom to a virgin and was tempted, though He never sinned. Jesus died on the cross as the only possible payment for our sins and rose from the dead three days later. One is saved by grace through faith in Jesus' payment and resurrection, and, if this faith is real, it produces repentance (change of mind concerning sin) and results in the new life, born of the Spirit. There is a coming day of God's judgment and wrath. There will be a resurrection of the dead: the saved to eternal life and the lost to eternal punishment. The Holy Spirit lives in all true believers, enabling them to live righteous and holy lives, the Baptism with the Holy Spirit being an endowment of God's power for the purpose of doing His works through the gifts He freely bestows. |
