This Week in the NVFFA with Locker Room Lawyer
For 10/17/04

VA Hustlers vs Punishers: The Punishers offense crapped the bed again. They are having serious woes. Penalties, dropped passes, blown blocking assignments, sacks for losses, etc. They’ve scored once on offense in 3 weeks. They would have been shut out by the Blaze if not for a kick off return by Myron Flowers (last seasons B league MVP). They are too talented and have been close to scoring too many times for this to continue. The Punishers have a great defense and so do the Hustlers. The Punishers have more firepower on offense. If they play smart and avoid sacks for losses (beware Gargamel!) they should win a defensive battle.
Punishers 7-0

Young Guns vs. D-backs: The Young Guns are legit and the Diamondbacks have benifited from a “cake” schedule, as displayed by their loss to the bottom dwelling (but underachieving) Arsenal. The D-Backs are decent but everything they have, the Young Guns have more of it.
YG 21-6

Arsenal vs. Jags: Arsenal is way better than their record shows, which isn’t hard. They beat the overrated D-Backs last week. They will continue their winning ways.
Arsenal 18-6

Eclipse vs. Hawks The Hawks are a tough legit team. Eclipse are one of the elite teams in the league and are undefeated. The Hawks have the speed to keep the Eclipse QB corralled. I’ll pick this upset. What the hell?
Hawks 12-6

DaVillains vs. Blaze: Blaze shocked the world with a gritty performance against The Punishers. They got all their points by taking advantage of great field position after turnovers. Rafey has the habit of spraying some “pickles”. Blaze have some very speedy skill position players. I do think however that the size of the Villain receivers will be the difference in the game.
Villains 12-3

KDI vs. MD Bison: This is the type of team that KDI should make short work of. Period. KDI will beat the “not ready for primetime” Bison by two TD’s.
KDI 14-0
