This Week in the NVFFA with Locker Room Lawyer
For 11/21/04

Good Morning all your football fanatics. I will apologize that the Kaiser doesn’t have an opening like MNF does. The Kaiser would have preferred to see Teri Hatcher drop the towel, but I digress.

As I have always done in the past, I don’t pick the championship winner. The teams that get to that game are champions regardless of who wins or loses. The Kasier takes off and enjoys the game. Win or lose, its always a good game to watch

New Rule: No A League teams are allowed to use the George Forman grill, and the NY Boxing commission has revoked all your charters.

Lets roll with the A league picks.

Ruff Ryders vs DCBBB: We have an early game on the slate this week. Kaiser isn’t sure what happened last Sunday up in Maryland, but suffice it to say that he is very disappointed in the entire situation. Ruff Ryders won the Week 5 match up 13-6, and it was trhe last time that the DCBBB lost a game. Bulldogs will be without their Capt this weekend, and it’s a rare trip to VA for them also. Officials will be watching this game very close, and will try to keep the intensity on an even keel. The extra week may help Zell heal a bit more.
My Pick: Ruff Ryders

Dawgs vs Outkast: This was the match-up everyone wanted to see early in the season. Dawgs are on a roll and it doesn’t look like anyone is going to stand in their way. Outkast has other thoughts. The may not score touchdowns every time they have the ball, but they play smart and will take 3. They play the field position game better then anyone as evidenced as to pining the Unknowns inside their own 10 3x last week. Power vs Power, this is a classic match up
My Pick: Metro Dawgs

Cox vs Ruff Ryders/DCBBB winner: Cox gets a nice gift here playing a team that’s got one under the belt. Cox beat the DCBBB 7-6 in week one, and then lost to the Ruff Ryders 12-0 in week two. Mike has come along way this season and is back to his playing form from the winter tournaments of last year. Cox has bulked up their front 3 on both sides of the ball and no longer have to rely just on their NG for pressure. Defense is still their strong spot, but their offense has come onboard the last few weeks. Winner of the early game maybe able to jump on Cox early and make them play catch-up.
My Pick: Cox
**Side Note DCBBB wins if they play Cox

Championship Game : Cox vs Dawgs: No regular season game

B League

A lot of nice games last week, and much better sportsmanship overall. B leaguers realize it’s a game and win or lose it doesn’t make the double-wide payment.
KDI vs Eclispe: Eclispe beat KDI way back in week one 14-6. KDI plays football like a woman makes love, takes them a while to get going but when they hit the mark, just hold on and go for the ride. Eclispe plays like old people screw, its slow and sloppy but its still gets the job done. Both teams have championship caliber teams and the Kasier would have preferred this game to be the big one. If I have to pick one….
My Pick: KDI

Young Guns vs Diamondbacks: Week 5, Diamondbacks got stung by the Young Guns 18-0. Its not all that often that that you can shut out the dbacks, but the Guns seem to be have done it once. Diamondbacks are again leaning a buit to much on the run, and if they fall behind early, it could mean a short day at signal hill. Young Guns aren’t really all that young, and they have veteran players that know what it takes to win the crown.
My Pick: Young Guns

Championship Game KDI vs Young Guns: Reg season match-up KDI 16-14

C League
: It just isn’t the same without ‘Soup. Its like a BLT without the Bacon, its like Steak with no Potatoe, its like a cold day without..well Soup

Aerial Attack vs Golden Eagles: Well look at this the VA Patriots have made it to the Semi’s. You’ve had a great season and with that comes great reward. Welcome to the Buzz saw known as AA. Deaf Champions and past NVFFA champions also. The eagles will be ready to play, and won’t lay down. Its going to a tough game and the size goes to the golden ones. AA just has the experience as a team. Eagles have made a huge leap from last year, and will be a force in upcoming seasons. The eagles lost the regular season match up by 10, with a 22-12 loss
My Pick: Aerial Attack

Native vs The Sharks: Natives picked up their only loss of the season just 2weeks ago to these same Sharks. The score was only 7-6, and it was as close a game as the score shows. The Kasier doesn’t think either team showed anything, it looked like to whales humping. You knew something was going on, but it just didn’t look right. This game will be much different, and both teams will be pulling out all the stops to get into the big game. Both teams have great defense and a turnover will decide this one. I’ll even go outside my norm and pick the socre on this one. Count and the Amount The Sharks 22 The Natives 18 Sharks get an INT late and take the lead for good
My Pick: The Sharks

Championship Game
Aerial Attack vs The Sharks: AA won the reg season match up 12-0

Hope everyone has had a wonderful season, and has enjoyed my rants and ravings throught the year. Saty safe, play Safe, and have fun. The Kasier wishes everyone a happy holiday season, a wonderful knew year and I will see you all in the Spring.

And to quote a few others
